Unique opportunity package.
I’m tidying up my work space and no longer have room for the Kaei amp.
You’ll see it’s all in excellent condition as it hasn’t left my house.
The tap1pro has the upgraded knob (gold) it base muses02 dual opamps installed. I tried the sparkos and burson audio classic opamps but I preferred the sound of the muses so sold the others. The tubes were only used a few times but I preferred a clean sound so be sure they are like new.
The psu2 was used for portable use with its built in battery and extra power for the tap1pro and was used until I replaced it with the psu1pro
The psu1pro is powered by the included black usb power cable and included plug (with uk adapter) this saw little use as it is a very recent invention by Kaei designs.
The upgrade cable is also included which was silly expensive.
You will see in the pictures the addition of the innards of a tap1pro. This is for spares as I fried it by accident. Included are the resisters needed to fix it. You will see in the pictures I did replace the fried resistors but in the end asked Kaei to send me two new boards which are installed. The spare can be used for the tubes eventually or a clever person might be able do a better job soldering. It’s there as a spare.
The tap1pro has two screens one clear glass and the other is shielded. The shielded case I found useful when I had it too close to my computer (it cut out electrical interference.
I’ve said a lot here. If you are new to amps just say as I knew nothing about them before buying this setup.
It really was a brilliant sound addition.
Just note Kaei are notorious for taking a month to even decide they want to make you a unit. They are very slow once you pay your money so you can get this now. It’s in excellent conduction. The innards of the tap1pro are likely less that a year old given I damaged the previous one.
