Vatican medal if the Pontifical Equestrian Order of St Gregory the Great, I understand this medal to be a Knight/Dame Commander (KCSG/DCSG).
Please look at the photos for the overall condition, however the main body of the medal appears to be in good condition with no major damage. It could probably do with a polish and this will remove the tarnish. On the laurel leaves some of the red enamel is missing at the very top, I assume through general wear, given the proximity to the hanging loop. There is also a small amount of enamel loss on one of the prongs of the star at the back, see photos, again I assume this is through general wear and tear of being worn. Neither of these distract from the overall medal (in both looks and usability).
This is a good example of the medal I have seen, both in condition and quality of manufacture. It’s just been sat in a drawer doing nothing for the last few years so time to let someone else enjoy it.
The item will be securely wrapped, in its box within a cardboard box for postage.
