Status S2 Classic 5 Headless w/ Blue Front LEDs + Hiscox Case (1997)
For sale is my 1997 Status Graphite S2 Classic 5-string, a superb UK-built bass with the unmistakable Status tone and feel.
Key features:
Headless design
Graphite bolt-on neck (exceptionally stable and fast-playing)
5-string configuration
Original Status Hyperactive pickups & electronics
Factory blue front-facing LED fret markers (premium option)
Walnut/Padauk/Utile body
Individual bridge units ABM3901B (recently purchased March 2026 )
Condition:Very good condition for its age. The bass has been well looked after and is in full working order. Light cosmetic wear consistent with a 1997 instrument, but nothing affecting playability.
Sound & playability:Classic Status tone—clean, punchy and hi-fi with excellent clarity, especially on the low B. The graphite neck gives superb stability and a fast, smooth playing feel.

Original Status-branded Hiscox hard case
