Sony WM-DC2 Centre Gear & Capstan Rubber Ring Replacement Repair Service

We are offering a service to replace the centre gear and capstan rubber ring of your Sony Walkman DC2. If your Sony WM-DC2 is clicking then it is due to the centre gear cracking with age (see third photo for an example of a cracked centre gear). This service includes replacement of this gear which stops the clicking sound

What's included?

The listed price includes:
An inspection of your item
Replacement of the capstan rubber ring/tyre

Removal of the old centre gear and replacement with a new remanufactured part

Clean of all switches and volume control
Pinch roller and capstan clean

Full retest after reassembly

Return postage

If further repairs are required which are not covered by the work above (ie capacitor change, pinch roller etc) we will quote you separately.

Upon purchase of this service we will contact you with details so you can ship us your item for repair (at your own expense)

Once we have inspected and serviced your item we will contact you to advise if any additional work is required to complete the repair (no repairs will be commenced until paid in advance)

Your serviced item will be returned to you using Royal Mail Tracked 24 with Signature (UK mainland only)

If you are located outside of mainland UK then please contact me first for a specific shipping price. Please bear in mind that you are required to cover any relevant customs charges.
