SONY CDP-101 CD Player

Description

This is a rare, fully functional, first-generation Sony CD player.

The CDP-101 is Sony's very first CD player, nicknamed "Goronta."

While this CDP-101 may not have the same dazzling resolution as current CD players, it delivers a pleasant bass response, making it a very enjoyable and easy-to-listen-to sound for music lovers.
(This is subjective and should be taken as a reference only.)

*Perhaps due to its vintage nature, it seems to reach its full potential after a few tens of minutes of warm-up, roughly equivalent to one CD. Even the same CD sounds richer on the second listen.

*Tray drive and pickup drive disassembled, old grease cleaned, and re-greasing performed

*Internal and external cleaning performed
*CD and CD-R playback OK
