National Matsushita (Like Mulllard MC1) 12AX7 Tested Tube Grey Plate Angled Halo

This tube is a National Matsushita brand tube and the tube is an extremely strong, well balanced, low microphonic, preamp tube which has been fully tested.

The logo is faded, but the tube definitely has the vintage National Matsushita “Japanese font” logo on the tube.

It is a Late 1950s to early 60s tube made in Matsushita Japan, due to the fact that has the iconic seemed glass top like on a Mullard tube and a angled halo getter with medium sized grey ribbed plates.

These tubes are highly sought for their similar sound profile to a vintage Mullard, and are often called a Matsushita Mullard. I recommend this Tube if you’re looking for an excellent sounding guitar amplifier Tube for your V1 Spot.

This tube is very low noise, Low microphonic and has great balance. The Tube has been audio tested in addition to testing for leaks , shorts and emissions.

To sum that all up, this tube is free of any issues and strong enough that most people would call it new old stock.

It is tested at 820 µmol on the A line, and 800 the B line. The NOS average reading is anywhere from 800 to 1200 µg so lots of people would consider this new old stock. I am calling it an open box because I only use a 10% plus or minus deviation from the 1000 micromhos average reading; therefore anything less than 900 micromhos I don’t call new Old stock when it comes to 12AX7 tubes; this is due to the fact that I use more strict metrics than the RMA(radio manufacturers association) and they set that 20% plus or minus industry standard to account for differences in testing methods, variation is caused by different manufacturing components both in testers and in the tubes themselves as well as aging

This is an excellent Tube free of any issues and sonically it’s voiced very similarly to an early to mid 60s Mullard MC1 tube of the same type.

In my experience these angled Halo Japanese tubes sound incredible. From the forties to the 60s the Japanese manufacturers were known to have very very high quality standards in the Tube manufacturing industry.
