TOY STORY 1 VERSION 1 WITH $4.00 DOLLAR COUPON

Version 1 is considered the most desirable and difficult to find of all Woody doll releases, as it was only produced for a short window before later versions replaced it.

Most surviving examples show heavy play wear or are missing original components, making a well-preserved figure like this exceptionally rare. It represents the earliest chapter of Toy Story collecting and remains a cornerstone piece for serious collectors.

This is the first edition Version 1 Sheriff Woody, released by Thinkway Toys in 1995 immediately after the original Toy Story film.

What sets this version apart is the original movie coupon ("SAVE $4 dollars) included in the box and the smooth cow-pattern vest with a clean white border — definitive identifiers of the earliest production run.

It also features a removable full-plastic hat with a faded brim and "poseable" wired armature. In 1996 Thinkway removed the wired armature from production due to safety concerns, making the poseable wired ones a mark of the earliest versions as later ones were labeled non-poseable on the box The doll is voiced by Jim Hanks (Tom Hanks brother), a hallmark of early Woody toys.
