Antique Royal Worcester hand painted porcelain pill boxes pair 1899, 1915

A charming pair of antique Royal Worcester porcelain pill boxes, each hand-painted with delicate floral decoration and finished with fine gilt rims.

Both boxes are round and low-bodied with snug-fitting lids. One is decorated with soft white and mauve violets; the other with vivid red and coral floral sprays. The painting is executed in gentle washes of colour with fine detailing to petals and leaves. A subtle blush tint beneath the glaze lends warmth to the porcelain body.

The bases carry Royal Worcester backstamps dating to 1899 and 1915 respectively, representing late Victorian and Edwardian production. These miniature vanity or medicinal boxes reflect the factory’s continued refinement of small domestic wares during this period.

Condition
