Beautiful vintage carved alabaster religious relief featuring the Nativity scene above and The Last Supper below. This piece is freestanding and measures approximately 4.5” tall. When backlit, it displays a warm translucent glow typical of genuine alabaster stone.
The carving includes detailed scrollwork and pierced openwork accents around the lower portion. The piece is heavy for its size and appears to be hand-carved or hand-finished.
Condition: There appears to be minor edge chipping and possible loss to some of the delicate pierced detailing (see photos). Please review images carefully. Structurally solid and displays well.
No visible maker’s mark. Likely mid-20th century Italian religious devotional decor.
