This a good running GMC 270 4.4 engine and gearbox. Is running in the frame and can be started up at anytime. Engine frame also comes in the sale . Removed from GMC CCKW a couple of years ago to make way for a diesel conversion. Dry stored since. Was running absolute dream when removed and since had a light overhaul
And paint. It has a aluminium camshaft gear, electric ignition in the distributor. New plugs, cap and rotor arm along with oils and filter. 6 valve fuel pump was be rebuilt some years back. Starts really well because of this. 12 alternator conversion. I replaced the manifolds a couple of year ago prior to removal of the engine for a split manifold, so no heat exchanger. No more issues with wrapping manifolds. I do have the original manifolds but it kept blowing the inlet manifold gasket! The head gasket was done and gearbox where rebuild before I bought the truck 9 years ago. But has only done a couple of thousand miles at most in that time. Overal a very good engine and box that run great and ready to go. It has a basic set up done. So may need some adjustment once in a vehicle. Only thing it needs is the out put seal on the gearbox. £3500 ono. Collection only. Located in Uckfield, East Sussex. Viewing welcome.
