This is a Civil War 1863 P.S. Bartlett Waltham size 18, jewels 7 and model 1857 pocketwatch. Serial number 94296 & key wind set. The glass crystal is very nice (see photo). This watch runs perfectly for its age. THIS WATCH WAS JUST SERVICED AND IS NOW ACCURATE WITHIN 3 SECONDS PER DAY. Of course I can not guarantee that once it leaves the house. But I've never had a problem with that. Sometimes the scanning from the post office locations can cause magnetism problems for any old watch. Demagnification can easily be done if you ever experience this. The case opens and closes tightly. I don't see any hairlines on the dial. It does everything it is supposed to do. It winds very smoothly & sets very easily The crown is not wobbly. The bow is not floppy and needs pressure to be moved, so it's not smacking the case. Just wind it every morning. Very low maintenance & ready for use or collection.
