03-05 Yamaha YZF-R6 Engine Crankcase Assembly OEM 5SL-15100-02-00

This is an OEM engine crankcase assembly (upper and lower cases) removed from a 2004 Yamaha YZF-R6. This is the main split-case assembly that houses the crankshaft, transmission, and internal engine components.

Condition Observations:

• Cylinder bores show normal wear consistent with use; cylinder walls appear smooth with no visible scoring or excessive damage in photos
• Case surfaces show typical used condition with oil residue, oxidation, and discoloration from heat cycling
• Mounting bolt holes and threaded inserts appear intact
• No obvious cracks visible in casting, though professional inspection recommended before reuse
• Gasket mating surfaces show old gasket material residue - cleaning required
• Some minor surface corrosion and staining present on exterior aluminum surfaces
• Includes internal crankshaft and bearings as shown
• One bearing race visible, appears intact

• Lower crankcase half
• Assembled together with crankshaft installed as shown

What's NOT Included:

• Cylinders, pistons, cylinder head
• External covers (clutch cover, stator cover, etc.)
• Transmission components not visible in photos
• Gaskets, seals, or hardware
• Oil passages may need thorough cleaning

Fitment:

OEM Yamaha part number 5SL-15100-02-00 (supersedes 5SL-15100-01-00). This crankcase assembly fits the following Yamaha models:

• 2003-2005 Yamaha YZF-R6 (all variants)
• 2006-2009 Yamaha YZF-R6S (continuation of 2003-2005 engine platform)

Note: The R6S uses the same engine architecture as the 2003-2005 R6. Does NOT fit 1999-2002 carbureted R6 or 2006+ YZF-R6 (which has a completely different high-revving engine).
