JBL L100 Century Speakers * Vintage mk1 * Includes Covers
These are super rare early mk1 versions as can been seen by their serial numbers. Physically they differ from the later models as they have the vertical driver alignment, where all three drivers are aligned on the baffle's centerline to improve imaging and coherence. Also they feature a plywood baffle. This plywood baffle was denser and provided a more rigid mounting surface for the heavy Alnico drivers.
They features a 12-inch (30cm) 123A woofer, a 5-inch (13cm) LE5-2 midrange, and a 1-3/4-inch (4.4cm) LE25 cone tweeter. The woofer and midrange utilize Alnico V magnets, prized for their "vintage warmth," while the tweeter uses a ferrite magnet.
The cabinet is a bass-reflex design made of 18mm chipboard with an oiled walnut veneer, weighing approximately 55 lbs (25kg) per speaker.
The front-panel L-Pad attenuators are working well, without any crackles. All the drivers and tweeters are in good working condition. (despite the tweeters having indentations in their dust caps, it is a cosmetic issue only) The 12" bass drivers put out the type of bass that only a large woofer can, you will feel the air being displaced and the thump hitting your chest :-)
Used, very good working order, some very minor marks of previous use/age please see photos as they form part of the description. These have a couple of dings but otherwise the cabinets are in decent condition and would clean up well with a light sanding and oiling.
The important bit, all the drivers work and sound good. The covers are included, I dont think the foam is original, the wooden covers do have some cracks and some wood missing from the bottom cover as pictured but are otherwise functional.

The plan was to fully restore these but its going to take me a while to get around to it, so grab yourself a pair of some of the most iconic vintage speakers ever produced
