The tomato grows in optimal condition at a temperature of 25ºC during the day and 15-20 at night, below that range it tends to slow its growth and above 35ºC problems arise. Below 0 degrees the plant dies. Tomatoes are typically grown if they are early from January to April, not late from September to December, as the item usually states in its description, but they are normally grown from May to September. The tomato is not demanding in soils but prefers them organic and loose, tolerates a certain degree of salinity but cannot withstand soaking, so it must be grown in soil that drains well like almost all vegetables.

It can be sown outdoors if night temperatures exceed 10 degrees, they should be buried no more than one cm and planted at distances of no less than 40-50cm. It is best to always sow in butts indoors and then replicate the plants outdoors when they have multiple pairs of leaves. In seedlings at 25ºC it takes a week to be born, at 10 degrees a month and a half, at 35ºC about 10 days. The soil can be fertilized before planting with any manure or compost, little else will the tomatoes need in care.
