Bush DAC90A valve radio in original marbled Bakelite cabinet.
This is an early 1950s example with the correct dial glass, back panel and original features intact. A classic and very collectable post-war British radio.
Condition & operation
Powers up and produces sound (low hum/hiss as valves warm)
Dial lamp illuminates
Controls operate normally
After initial use, a waxy/sweet smell was noticed, so the radio has not been run further
This is consistent with original wax capacitors and indicates the set would benefit from a routine service before further use
No smoke, no loud hum, and no RCD trip occurred.
