Vtg ARGUS Camera IRC 1940 Historic Art Deco USA Made Collapsable Lens Case

NOTE! THIS IS NOT WRITTEN BY AI in other words, I have held the item with real hands, looked with real eyes, felt it with real live fingers, and taken pictures of everything I can. Long Live the Human Being! 

Here is a piece of history in excellent condition. The Argus A2B camera made in Ann Arbor Michigan in the 1940's by IRC. This was an improvement on their original model, the Argus-1, in that it has a built-in extinction meter and an exposure calculator. The body is made of Bakelite and has the nicest Art Deco design. The 50mm lens pops out. The back lifts off by a leather tab, and inside it's remarkably clean. This is a fully manual camera, and I have tested all aspects possible without film. It's in excellent condition. The original leather case also is in very good condition, altho the leather could use oiling. I thought about doing that myself, but thought it's better to pass it along AS IS in it's natural vintage condition. You can look at the photos and see small areas of oxidation, including a mark in the center of the back cover and little bits around the lens.
