TOKAI's mid-'80s production model, the TST-36.
Introduced in 1984 as a modern, contemporary Stratocaster model, distinct from the vintage-inspired TST (GOLD STAR SOUND) series of the time.
In addition to the two-humbucker TST-36H and the HSS-style TST-36HS, the lineup also included the SD series with metal knob escutcheons. This guitar was primarily designed for hardcore styles like heavy metal and heavy-metal. Its bold coloring, a departure from the matching headstock, is a distinctive feature unseen today.
With affordable Japanese-made guitars becoming increasingly rare, this is a must-have!
There are scratches and dents throughout the guitar.
The truss rod works well, with ample room for adjustment in both forward and backward bow.
The neck curvature has been adjusted with the truss rod and is nearly straight. The frets are still high enough that they do not interfere with playability.
