Uilleann pipes concert pitch (D) drones and stock Banba Design (Martin Gallen)

Purchased in 2025 new from Martin they are made in Mozambique hardwood (cosmetically excellent match for boxwood), brass and "posh" imitation ivory mounts. Not sure of the stock timber, has the appearance of (rich!) mahogany.  

The imitation ivory has a lovely grain and is imported from the US for guitar repairs and is not your typical white resin stuff. 

3 original cane reeds, well balanced and playing with no issues. 

The drones were put into another set/ stock (as in main photo) and have been played a couple of times a week since in sessions, steady, reliable, rich tone and they just play with no bother! 

The stock is unused by me. Pre-drilled for (tenor baritone) regulators if you wish to develop the set but otherwise ready to tie into a bag and get playing. 

The main (first) photo shows these drones in my original stock (not Banba, not for sale!) and with regulators and a bag. These are not included in the sale. These are to show how the colour of the wood matches and complements boxwood and the general aesthetic. 

You may have deduced I have added binding to the drones to fit the current set up and until sold I don't wish to remove this all, this is why the photo doesn't show the Banba drones in the Banba stock. Once sold I will remove all thread and re-tie and it will all fit and look lovely! 

I paid £1080. Reason for sale is my original pipe maker has been talked into finishing off my drones and these will be surplus. And need to be sold to pay for it!  I've taken a good chunk off but and a stock and 3 drones would typically be twice that price and have a waiting list.
