This is a Merlin Fat Beat Titanium frame soft-tail mountain bike that uses a Moots YBBeat shock at the top of the rear triangle for dampening; the rear stays are designed to flex to provide a minimal amount of travel. This bike weighs 25.27 pounds as shown and more photos are available. All of the decals are in good shape and the frame measures 19.5" from the center of the crank to the top of seat tube. I believe this is a 1999 model based on the serial number but not 100% sure. Aside from the issues noted below, everything works as it should and specs are as follows:

Shimano Deore XT 9 speed shifters and rear derailleur; Deore LX front derailleur

Shimano Deore XT Crankset

Easton Monkey Lite CT2 Carbon Fiber handlebar

Moots YBBeat rear shock

Mavic Rims; rear hub is Shimano Deore XT

Selle Italia Flite saddle (rough condition)

Thomson Elite Seatpost

Cannondale Lefty Titanium Headshok Fork and Si Hub

Avid mechanical disk brake (front)

Shimano XT V-brake (rear)

Crank Brothers Eggbeater pedals

Known issues: Moots YBB rear shock functions but could use a rebuild, needs handlebar grips, tiny ding on underside of downtube close to bottom bracket, saddle in rough condition.

Overall, this is a great bike that needs minor work before it is ready to be enjoyed on the trails again.
