Rare vintage Lorenz compression driver, made in Germany by C. Lorenz AG, Stuttgart during the late 1940s to early 1950s.
Lorenz was one of Europe’s most respected names in early radio and broadcast technology, producing professional-grade microphones, loudspeakers, and horn drivers used alongside Telefunken, Siemens, and Klangfilm systems.
This unit features a solid brass cylindrical housing with a woven acoustic grille and a cast-aluminium magnet assembly bearing the raised LORENZ logo. The robust construction and patina showcase genuine German post-war craftsmanship.
Originally used in broadcast studios, public address systems, or military field communication horns, this type of driver is highly collectible today for its engineering quality and historical value.
