Antique Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid Satinwood marquetry Mantle Clock.
Whilst not marked 'Williamson' this clock is likely to have been made by the company whilst they were part of the 'English Clock and Watch Manufacturers Ltd', probably between 1924 (when they first introduced the Empire range) and 1929, when the Empire stamp changed from straight plain text to a 'Empire' on a waving banner across a globe. The Empire range are mass produced but considered to be of good quality. This model was one of their best with domed bevelled glass, silvered face, quality inlay and brass feet.
Working , striking ( on the hour ) and keeping good time. Face marked Michell , Penzance.
