The ES 165 KX3E is a very complete kit offering remarkably extensive frequency response (45 Hz - 32 kHz). Its main advantages are the excellent power handling and the very realistic soundstage.
Composed of two 165 mm (6½") woofers and two 80 mm (3") mid-range and two FRAK tweeters: complete, the ES 165 KX3E audio kit covers a wide frequency spectrum, with rich and dynamic mids, soft and precise highs and deep bass. The speakers are equipped with Focal’s iconic K2 membrane in aramid fiber, a performance-oriented cone for the pleasure of music in the car.

Like all fourth generation K2 Power kits, the ES 165 KX2E system enhances on-board listening. It consists of two 6.5" woofers with K2 aramid fiber membrane, a Focal innovation revealing rich and powerful sound. The central cone of the woofers guarantees better dispersion of sound within the cabin, for perfect immersion.
An exclusive Focal innovation, the FRAK tweeter is a revolution in Car Audio with its unique power handling (600 Hz - 32 kHz). Its Aluminum/Magnesium cone with “M” profile brings unprecedented dynamics to your installation. Perfection of the treble and great clarity of the midrange combine for very high-end listening.
FRAK tweeters with inverted dome and "M" profile are the source of ultra-realistic sound. Coupled with bi-amplifiable audiophile crossovers, they provide perfect control of high frequencies to reproduce smooth, well-defined treble.
Optimized filters - a high-performance soundstage
Every element of a loudspeaker is important. Our engineers focus on every component, including the crossovers. Crossovers provide each loudspeaker with a signal that enables it to work at its best in the frequency range for which it is designed. For K2 Power kits, all crossover components have been specifically selected and optimized to better control heat dissipation effects, and manage channels and soundstage with reliability and performance.
