Rondinella Vic Edwards 52cm Reynolds Pista Track Steel vintage racing frame fork

Vic Edwards was considered one of the best UK frame builders, making high end frames for multiple reputable London shops (Condor, Hobbs of Barbican, Rory O'brien, Alan Shorter) but also producing very low numbers of frames under his own brand name, Rondinella. 

The history of this particular Rondinella frame is unknown, but it has aggressive track geometry and is undrilled, so likely was used for racing on the velodrome. The overall finish and detailing is excellent, threading, facing, reaming, fit-up all perfect with great care and precision, and with some beautiful features like the fast back seat stays and dropout plates. 

Overall the condition is excellent for it's age. The deep metallic red paint is still bright and looks amazing in sun light (see photos of original build). Very few cosmetic blemishes, a few minor paint chips and the chrome could do with some cleaning on the fork blades. No noticeable rust spots, clearly suggesting indoor use during it's life. A small, long depression on the top of the top tube, not that noticeable or of concern (see photo). No cracks and the frame is straight and tracks well. Threads and dropouts are all good and aligned. New fresh decals from Henry Lloyd. Please judge condition in the photos.
