Very heavy, solid coin silver early Elgin antique hunting case pocket watch with key. Movement is in running condition and is a nice gilt gold harder to fin W H Ferry grade movement with 11 Jewels and runs with good motion but I have not checked it for timekeeping. Dial is the original Elgin hand painted glass enamel sunk dial and is in nice condition with nice hands but has a small faint hairline. Case is a very heavy unusual 4 ounce coin silver pair case. Case is very nice and is in good working order but is missing cap on top of stem. Nice hinges. Watch is key set and winds and sets correctly and comes with a key. A very attractive early 1871 civil War era antique Pocket watch that is a higher grade model for its time. Serial number 72810. Watch is over 150 years old.
