Really nice frame and fork for a 1996 GT Timberline. A lot of these were sold as the FS front suspension models and this one is even better since it has the cromo fork! Frame has the all 4130 sticker and the yellow and blue combo is known as team scream!
In addition to the frame and fork it comes with:
-threaded original headset
- original seat binder bolt in silver
-90s paramount matching yellow bottle cage
The fork on this one is 1 1/8 threaded and is nicer than the usual timberline, tequesta or outpost heavy steel fork. This one is made w nicer tubing and is lighter and thinner- a lot like the bologna lite fork but I don’t know if this is technically that. I have a bologna lite in the garage and side by side they are very very similar.
Frame decals and paint have many touch ups but as a whole it looks really clean and nice. The biggest hiccup w this frame is that previous owner had one of those honking metal kick stands on there and it left some dings and paint scrapes under the rear chain stay and bottom bracket area . It has been all cleaned up and touched up and I don’t think you would notice once the bike is together.
This frame is a 16” size which GT calls a size small. It would probably be appropriate for someone 5’ 4” to 5’ 8” depending on how you build and set up.
