Low Impedance 5 OHMS
Great as external speaker for a F E N D E R Champ Combo,
There are very few vintage 5 ohm ( or 4 Ohm) speakers that will improve a F E N D E R champ (3.2 Ohm)
more than this speaker. The small difference in impedance is acceptable. No damage will be caused to the amp as there
will be if an 8 Ohm load is connected for prolonged periods.
The only alternative for obtaining a similar sound quality and DB level from a Champ combo is to use a large heavy twin speaker cab
with two 10" or 12" 8 ohm drivers wired in parallel.
Mounted in a compact easy to transport 1x12" Laney Cab
Your Champ will be much louder, have a much better, fuller tone and can also be used for bass which is absolutely impossible with the built in 8" speaker.
