Fresh out of an estate goldmine — I’m liquidating rare collectibles from the estate of a top Rolls-Royce engineer who owned millions in worldwide treasures. Many pieces from this collection were sourced internationally in places like Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Pakistan, and a lot of it was never commonly seen in the USA.

Hamilton 982-family wristwatch movements were produced in the 1935–1951 era, and Hamilton “M” serial ranges for the 982M series fall 1941–1951. 

Your visible M47xxx range is consistent with mid-1940s production (a nearby Hamilton M44xxx example is estimated 1946).
