Sony VO‑2630 industrial U‑matic VCR. This is an early‑generation Sony broadcast deck, ideal for collectors, restorers, or anyone needing parts for U‑matic digitisation work.

Condition:

• The unit powers on

• Front panel lights and audio meters illuminate

• Fans run normally

• Transport buttons are non‑responsive (Play, Rewind, Eject etc.)

• No tape inside

• Cassette carriage appears to be in the fully seated/home position

• No additional noises when pressing Eject

• Likely a loading belt or mode‑switch issue, which is a common and fixable fault on this model

• Cabinet is in good overall condition with some label residue on the sides (now cleaned), and minor surface oxidation on the rear cover

• All panels and knobs present (not sure if the region switch should have a knob)
