The 6E4-2 "Ratnik" Watch is a military watch designed for use in the "Ratnik" gear set, intended for modern soldiers of the Russian army. The 6E4-2 features a 2416 B movement with automatic winding in a stainless steel case with an anti-reflective coating and waterproofing. One of the most important properties of the domestic 6E4-2 watch is its ability to withstand electromagnetic pulse effects, which are one of the damaging factors of many modern weapon systems. The watches from the Ratnik combat equipment kit have undergone extensive testing to evaluate their resistance to high and low temperatures, moisture, harmful radiation, and mechanical shocks.
The 6E4-2 model is based on the 2616 movement with automatic winding, which allows the watch to operate without manual winding. When worn on the wrist, the watch recharges its power reserve through the movements of its owner.
The Army Mechanical Wristwatches (AMNCH) 6E4-1 and 6E4-2 "Ratnik" are a continuation of the proud traditions of Soviet watchmakers. Since 1962, the equipment of domestic military pilots has included wristwatches. Nowadays, combat operations in local conflicts and hot spots have raised the need for the development and inclusion of reliable devices for determining time parameters in soldiers' combat gear.
In 2014, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation approved the inclusion of wristwatches produced by "MFSCh" in the latest combat gear — "Ratnik." Thus, the Moscow Factory of Special Watches became the exclusive manufacturer and supplier of serial wristwatches for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The mechanical wristwatches developed by our team are the only ones that have passed all stages of preliminary and state tests, as well as controlled military operation, including in combat conditions in Syria, and are supplied to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in two modifications:
— 6E4-1 with a 2616 VD movement with automatic winding in a brass case with anti-reflective coating and water resistance of 3 ATM;
— 6E4-2 with the same movement in a stainless steel case with anti-reflective coating or without coating, matte with magnetic tumbling, and water resistance of 10 ATM.
In 2017, the Moscow Factory of Special Watches successfully updated the army wristwatches according to the requests of the Russian Armed Forces. The new model includes a number of design improvements, among which are increased height of the rotating ring and width of the strap. All changes were made to enhance usability and increase the lifespan of the device.
The Moscow Factory of Special Watches produces army watches using Swiss technology with double assembly and tuning of the movement, which minimizes the likelihood of product defects.
Wristwatches from the Moscow Factory of Special Watches are the only Russian mechanical watches for real men, and they have been highly regarded in the Ground Forces, Airborne Forces, Marine Corps, and Special Operations Forces.
