Description

Craftsmen Model 500 Mono Amplifier. The amp is in very nice cosmetic condition as can be seen in the images. The amp looks to have its original power transformer which is quite uncommon as these were considered a weak link with these amps. Due to the nature of the original power transformer, I have always powered this amp up with a Variac. You may want to consider doing the same at least until the filter caps have been replaced. The amp looks to have all original components under the chassis. It does work and sounds very good. No doubt it will will sound even better once professionally restored. The output tubes are GE 6L6's which biased up just fine. A great amp for the collection and with a little refurbishment and restoration to use daily.
