SELLING:
For sale is one Heathkit AA-121 stereo tube amplifier. This amp includes no tubes. This is Heathkit's answer to the Dynaco ST70 or the poorman's Marantz 8B! The AA-121 has more power and has deeper bass than Dynaco and all wiring is point-to-point with no flimsy circuit board and it allows easy modifications, an experimenter's delight!This was my workhorse for years after modification but it blew a cathode resistor. I intended to repair and try a different circuit but the project that got aborted in mid progress but due to lack of time and resource so it was sitting on the shelf for years. It's time to let it go to a good home. It needs to be restored or repaired by a technician or someone qualified.
Some parts are missing so please check pictures. The essential parts such as power and output transformers are in working condition and all their winding continuities are tested with ohmmeter to avoid any short or open circuits. Amp also includes a handsome golden color cage and an aluminum bottom plate. Great project for DIYers for experiments or repair or a full restoration. Selling AS-IS for parts only. Please check pictures for physical condition. This beast is heavy so shipping won't be cheap but I will pack it with care.
