Professional quality magnetic recording tapes Type 271 on 7 inch reels
from the late 1960s, new, in original packaging in original boxes! This comes from my father-in-law's audio
business back then. I can vouch for this as I married into the family
more than 50 years ago. I had no idea that my brother-in-law kept
these in a locker all these years. These are blank, unrecorded tapes.
This is the higher quality Type 271 polyester film that is immune to heat and humidity. This type has withstood the test of time. Total length is 1,200 feet on 1 1/2 mil "Mylar". Yes, you can still make high quality recordings on these 50+ year old tapes!
Audio Devices was a quality American brand of reel to reel tapes in the 1950s through the 1970s. Their tapes were often used for professional recordings in the 1950s and 1960s and had a great reputation. In 1972 they were purchased by Capitol Records.
Reel to Reel tapes from the 1950s and 1960s that are truly NOS (new old stock) are very difficult to find.
