Original Oversize Cortebert, vintage Bauhaus watch

I don’t know when it was made, but I would say in the 1940/50s

Movement: legendary Cortebert caliber 677

Case: Chromium plated metal with stainless steel back.

Movement: Cortebert legendary manual wind 677 movement, built in house by Cortebert, not supplied by a third party. This is an expensive solution but it is what makes watchmaking worthwhile.

It is +- 19mm wide between the lugs.

The bracelet is a gift that goes with the watch.

Service history:

1 - The movement was subject to CLA job (cleaning, lubrication and adjustment) by a trusted watchmaker in September of 2023.

2 – The case was re-plated at the same time.

3 – The crystal and the crown were also replaced.

If it is not stated that the watch has been serviced recently (less than 5 years), you would better consider a revision by an expert watchmaker, no matter how good these simple test results may look. So despite being in working condition, this watch is nor ready for everyday use. It is sold at collector level, that means for someone who will only wear the watch rarely.

1. To get you a rough idea about the watch accuracy, I do a simple amateur testing which consists in leaving the watch flat on its back, and seeing the results after 24hours. Using the watch on the wrist will give different results for sure, as the watch will be subject to different dynamic positions.

• This description is unavoidably a subjective evaluation of the pictures. Please observe the pictures and make your own evaluation!

• Dial: The dial looks in very good/ excellent condition, with beautiful even patina.

• The hands – look in very good / Excellent condition.

• The movement: looks in very good condition.

• the case: looks in very good condition, it has been re-plated

• The crystal: it is in excellent condition. No ugly scratches, no cracking and no glazing.

• The crown: excellent condition

Remember that seeing the item at very high magnification, as in the pictures that I provide, brings to life small defects that the human eye does not perceive. That is why many people will like even more the item after seeing it for real.

Tracking

Registered shipping (requiring your signature upon reception) can be tracked directly from the eBay page provided that you are in Japan or in a European Community country.

Important note concerning expected time of arrival: under normal circumstances, in the European Community zone, the package is due to arrive in 10 to 22 business days. Outside the Euro countries it will take considerably more days due to longer distance, grouping of parcels and customs bureaucracy. Usually 27 to 45 days, a few times less than that, depending of your country.

Due to tracking failure, shipping to all countries outside Europe, with the exception of Japan, will have to be by UPS or FEDEX.

• I don't send watches in envelopes. It will be safely packed inside a box.

I won’t ship to a country where UPS/ FEDEX does not ship to.
