The Ops-Core Amp is one of the latest and greatest tactical headsets to hit the market in 2018. Like most earpro, they feature intelligent "hear through" active noise cancellation where high decibel sounds are filtered so that they do not damage your ears while allowing lower intensity sounds through to maintain situational awareness (or just to communicate with people nearby). What really makes the Amp special is the integrated NFMI (near-field magnetic induction) capability where they can work with special NFMI earbuds (NOT INCLUDED) to allow for improved noise reduction combined with even clearer communications.
You will receive the exact headset shown in the photos. It has been used in a maritime environment, as seen by the external corrosion on some metal parts, but it appears to be intact, and most importantly working. I have verified that the unit powers on and that noise cancellation and hear-through work; unfortunately I have no way to test the microphone or NFMI, but I assume it should function as well. I can also confirm that this unit is NFMI enabled because of the part number printed at the bottom (N101153-02-0000). Unfortunately, one of the helmet mount arms is broken, but it should be pretty easy to source a replacement. No microphone is included.
This OpsCore headset would be perfect for your next outdoors adventure or a modern militaria collection. It could even be used on duty, what it was meant for.
