The abbreviation AJS comes from the Swedish words Attack, Jakt, and Spaning (attack, air combat, reconnaissance), reflecting the three main roles of this version.AJS37 aircraft were modernized to carry new weapons, including cluster bombs and the Rb 15F anti-ship missile. Their air combat capabilities were also increased, allowing them to carry up to six Sidewinder missiles.Collaboration with the Flygvapen MuseumThe aircraft that served as the model for the COBI model is located at the Flygvapenmuseum in Linkoping, the Swedish Air Force Museum. The ghost symbol visible on the model is the emblem of the Johan Rod (Red John) squadron of the Swedish Air Force, which operated Viggen fighter jets.
