Once the ignitor is hot enough to ignite the burner, the flame sensor shuts off the ignitor. 279834 gas valve coil set opens and closes the valve to control the flow of gas. Fits all dryers with standard "M" two-coil gas valves. Whenever one coil fails, both coils should be replaced. 279311 igniter kit heats gas appliance while dryer is running.
